aware of it? Would you still stay on Facebook after knowing this?
I was not
aware of it until I read the article about Facebook’s privacy issue. It is a
very disturbing situation for every facebooker around the world. Facebook
facial recognition technology enables facebookers to be tagged in the photos
automatically. It is breaching every facebooker’s privacy. There are facebookers
who wish to stay low in the Facebook. It could upset certain amount
facebookers.
I would still
going to stay in Facebook. I don’t think that the new function will affect me
much as my privacy settings always set within my friends’ connection only. Everything
in my Facebook is only for friends. Actually I don’t think it will be a problem
for everyone if they set the privacy to the maximum where only friends are
available to access to the information. With the maximum privacy setting, no
one would be able to find me in any search engine. Thus, this also would help
me from linking my information to my photos out there. The privacy setting in
the Facebook is adjustable. People can change whenever it is needed.
I'm agree with you seetien, my facebook setting only allow friends to view instead to all the public user. Actually I dont think is a good thing if everyone can view through your facebook, sometime we still need some privacy. Unless you are a super stars then you have no choice to let show your profile to everyone. Is like have to beware on every things that you've posted, just like the STOP 114A ACT things.

DeleteI also agree what See Tien say, if our friends didn't play Facebook, I don't think Facebook will be important to me. We still can adjust privacy setting on Facebook so Facebook still can protect our privacy a bit.
ReplyDeletesomehow, there are users also feel uncomfortable even they had set to the maximum privacy setting. Thus, a strong privacy setting should be maintain, but also facebook itself should consider some of the function like auto tagging or anonymous search engine.
ReplyDeleteYes. Auto-tagging can acceptable if it is among closed friends and it has the consent from the users before it start its auto-tagging function.
DeleteBefore that, I thought the facial recognition technology is so easy and useful until I read the article. Yes, actually that is a choice for Facebook user and also another social networking's user to provide real or fake information and also privacy setting. That is another way is don't use the email address which used to register Facebook account to process another private works.
