Are you aware of this?
After reading the article, the awareness
just stuck my mind as the technology that enables tagging users in pictures
through application. Definitely it gives an easy task for users for tagging
their friends; in the other hand, when the users did not want themselves to be
tagged or to be seen by others, either the privacy setting can be changed as
users are enable to limit their profiles and pictures to be seen by others or
tags can be removed manually.
Would you still stay on Facebook after knowing this?
Regarding about Google+, LinkedIn and any
other social sites, I do not have any account in them as I do not know about
the system that they are using. It is always a Yes for me to keep on using
Facebook.com as the site is a median to connect to my friends and family which
are far apart from location that I am right now. It is an another way of
discussing some outings and as well as assignments.

not just facebook, no matter which social website out there, mainly it concern the same privacy issues. Doesnt mean that if the other sites is not that strict or not dangerous then you shouldn't take much concern about it. In the internet itself, nothing is 100% trust-able or reliable. In all times, we should pay attention and beware by providing personal informations and clicking any harmful contents.

yup this is correctly, there is some cases happened before. Someone just show out her details in facebook and it brings her harmful in the end.
Deletethere is some cases happened that some of facebook user like to check-in location without setting privacy and end up been tracked by some one and kidnaped, there we should have own discipline or responsibility of wat we did in internet, such as in this global network,if u dont behaviour byself there is no one will help u . Tang Tak Choon
ReplyDeleteThat's why privacy setting must set, and somehow those check in thing is not good if open to public. Might cause that person trouble or kidnapped :(
ReplyDeletei agree with you poh yeng, i have no idea why should the people like to check-in in foursquare and posted in facebook as well. showing off the fancy places is still reasonable, but the problem is the person living house check-in is also something special to show off?
DeleteIf anybody still checking in in Foursquare and Facebook when he/she is at home can seriously be considered to be stupid. We shouldn't simply reveal our home location online to be seen by unknowns. It is a stupid act which would lead to crime happening.
Deletehaha, therefore, the facebook or foursquare itself should remove the function where check-ins can be post publicity.
DeleteWell, if it's to be viewed by closed friends, then, it would be fine. Facebook and Foursquare should have an option where user can choose who and which friends can see their check-ins.
Deletehmm.. i think if there is an option to choose who can be viewed is just extra, user will finds it annoyed. So, if you dont want to let the person know, u shouldn't add or accept them as friend.
