Are you aware of this?
This is one of the privacy issue face by the users. Just for your information, there are a lot more issues regarding to the privacy of the Facebook itself. for example, some company collects and keeps information you might not expect, of cause the user must be logged into Facebook to collect certain information. But now, Facebook its privacy policy and is now capturing information about you anytime you are on a website that has a Facebook "like" button or some sort of Facebook widget. Whether or not you click those features, Facebook still knows you are there and stores that information for up to 90 days. says Brookman. 2nd example is that comes to online purchases in Facebook. Its kinda surprising for the users to buy Facebook credits. Facebook does have to contend with malicious software stealing user credentials and clickjacking scams. some users may be wary about Facebook now.
the reasons i show you all these example is that, not just the "tagging picture facial recognition" issue that rises the privacy concerns. Yet, there are a lot a lot more, research's survey finds out that 54% of the Facebook users does not trust much in facebook. We all know that Facebook itself have functions and its ways to secure our information, it just seems like not working and its like for our personal comfort only.
Would you still stay on Facebook after knowing this?
Before this, honestly i don't even know that facebook privacy has comes into such horrible level of riskiness. But even when i realise it after all, i don't think it will somehow effect me. Because, since i started to use facebook few years back, i face zero issue using it, doesn't mean that i am not aware of stranger or some company taking my information, but why should i concern so much about it? i have not provide much information in facebook like home address and phone number, and i have no idea why they would like to get personal information via facial recognition, it gives me a thought like the CID or FIB doing some prisoner search by scanning every single portrait picture and then the information will somehow pop out. But i have not did any thing wrong and why should i worry about it? But seems that there are a lot of privacy problems occurred, i might also beware of using any social network but not prevent using it. Besides of manually controlling personal privacy setting, i might also need to pay attention when clicking any advertising and buying Facebook credits.
Actually I been work for a job before, the company will collect all the customer's information. Therefore, the company must have the policy to keep all the customers's information. So it shouldn't to be worry much.
ReplyDeleteYes. Not everyone will put every information on to Facebook. People know the risks of giving out too much information online.
